The Gun Announced Go, the sophomore album for KD, utilizes a dense mix of acoustic and electric guitars, piano, organ, cello, bass, drums and large harmonies, creating everything from a monumental wall of sound to spacious and eerie ballads. Having two lead vocalists allows for a wide range of sonic possibilities that make up the unique sound of Kerosene Drifters. Joined by co-producer and Nashville recording artist J.R. Castillo, Kerosene Drifters collaborated for album #2 in songwriting with Lee Wenner and in the studio with cellist Jen Mulhern of Jenuine Cello at Cibolo Studios in San Antonio, TX. Stuart Sullivan of Wire Recording (Sublime, Jimmie Vaughan, Butthole Surfers) worked his mixing magic and Terra Nova Mastering finished up the project.
